Declaration of Principles We believe in infinite intelligence. We believe in the freedom of each person to worship the god of their understanding however they may choose. We believe in the spiritual healing of the sick through laying on of hands, prayer, meditation, and divine law. We believe that there is a natural world and there is a spiritual world. We believe that the existence and personal identity continues after the change called death. We believe that those in the natural world and those in the spiritual world can communicate, one with the other. We believe the gift of god to all people is eternal life. We acknowledge the divinity of Jesus the Christ; However, we also acknowledge the divinity of other exalted beings. We believe in the moral responsibility of the individual, and that he makes his own happiness or unhappiness as he obeys or disobeys natures physical and spiritual laws. Each person is responsible for his or her own life. We believe that the golden rule might be considered the basis of spiritual law. As the Buddhist say: "One should seek for others the happiness one desires for himself." |
